Description
I'm an audio enthusiast occasionally selling off surplus items from my personal collection.
This is an early US pressing of the classic War album "The World Is A Ghetto". I imported it still sealed from the US and have only played it twice at most, using my Michell Orbe turntable with SME V tonearm and AT33PTG/II moving coil cartridge.
Sleeve: still in its original shrink (opened). The original hype stickers are attached to the shrink, not to the sleeve itself. The corners are noticeably bumped. There is slight foxing (browning) to the upper right of the sleeve and I have shown this is in a picture. The album title isn't properly centred on the spine. There are no split seams.
Inner sleeve: this is a plain, unlined white sleeve with no split seams.
Labels: no spindle marks or other signs of use.
Record: barely played and virtually as new. However, please bear in mind that this was a mass-produced US pressing from the early 1970s, probably using a mix of new and recycled vinyl, and the quality does not compare favourably with modern-day audiophile pressings on 180g virgin vinyl. During quiet passages and between tracks, light vinyl noise can sometimes be heard especially when using headphones. There are also cosmetic blemishes such as streaks in the vinyl but these do not make any sound.
The record will be packed outside the album cover in a spare inner sleeve and everything will be packed in a tough cardboard box to make sure there is no possibility of any damage in the post.
Please note, shipping is FREE in the UK via MyHermes which does take a few days so please be patient! Any overseas shipping will be handled by eBay, not by me, so I'm unable to answer any questions about this. Other questions welcome but no buy-it-now offers, thanks very much.
