Description

Wardell Gray Memorial Volume One Prestige 7008 mono LP. Original deep groove pressing with yellow fireworks label, 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address, and RVG on the trail-off wax. The cover does have the Bergenfield NJ address on the back.

Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light

The cover is a nice VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. There is a number written in ink and some tape residue on the bottom left edge. A touch of wear on the corners. Nice seams with no splits. The printing on the edge is sharp and clear. The back cover slick is quite clean and bright overall with a small stamp on the upper right corner, some tape residue on the lower right corner, and a few very small tears on the bottom middle edge. A very pretty cover despite the flaws.

LP is a nice glossy VG+ with some light surface wear and hairlines. Nothing feelable or serious on either side. Labels are beautiful with some light marks under angled light and a small sticker on side A. A nice example of this rare Prestige LP.

Overall not perfect or NM but a nice copy of a rare LP. This copy should make some collector very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Check out my feedback for results of recent rare record auctions.

Grading

Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.

Packaging

LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.

Terms and Payment

Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arrangements are made before end of auction.

Shipping and Insurance

I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.

$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.

International

Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Packages over four pounds must ship Priority. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy

I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP. No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
