Ultra rare Velvets 1st lp , and rare for unique reasons .Having the,"D.J.Samples,promotional copies" sticker intact on cover and clean is very rare and the bit of providence i couldnt find in previous auctions for this cover.Then white labels are very rare indeed for any of the Velvet Undergrounds wax, let alone the first one as they are usually yellow. DJ pressing are ultra scarce and always a prized versions to find of this apex lp of garage psych .The wax.DJ mono, usually specially mixed for radio play dynamics and even a bit better quality pressing(its in the companies best interest it sounds instant hit). And last , this copy has the back cover torso shot that got the record removed from stores (Warhol didnt get permission to use an image he culled from one of his own movies.mgm/verve just decided to pull the thing from the shelves instead of going to court).This has got to be "the one" copy, or at the very least, one of a handful of copies that can claim a similar list of providence.

Cover shows some bin wear.peeled,and perfect Warhol banana left with no tears or damage.a little left over peel glue,no doubt removable but really unnoticeable.Seam wear at top,2 seam splits on back cover of gate fold,upper right about 4.5 inches,and bottom right about 2 inches.Spine is well intact and clearly visible. Very clean inside gate fold, only a few small age spots.
Record has not been pro cleaned. Wax is VG but for two cuts that have skips.sunday morning and i'll be your mirror dont play through.All the other tracks play fine. some lite background,lite clicks .A very loud mix on this deep groove mono radio station mix and play back is very good and clean throughout but for the aforementioned two cuts.only a few spots i noticed some very lite peaking."Waiting for my Man" is amazing sounding a very pure audio visible gem. The mono mix just sounds so much fuller and natural,even at high volume(which is how i played this for review. Very clean looking groove,rainbow brite groove,some scuff.
