A ‘must have’ rare 12” from Warsaw plus a mega rare sticker from the Factory Sample EP - John Dowie/Durutti Column/Joy Division/Cabaret Voltaire.
The Warsaw 12” is the same Peter Hook image as used on the Joy Division version. “A limited edition release produced for collectors and fans”. From "The Warsaw Demos" July 18 1977 which was never officially released. This features Gutz, At A Later date and The Kill.
Joy Division are famous for changing their song-titles, and THIS version of "The Kill" is a totally different song than "The Kill" off "Still"! (thanks to the joydiv website for this and other info).
It was bought by myself as part of a collection of Punk and other music related items from an auction in north London on Monday 24th February. It’s in a very good clean condition and does play with a little of background noise here and there but only from something you would expect from this age. It is a very fine example and the cover is in good clean condition also - it came in a plastic sleeve to protect it and I will forward it on to the buyer in the same way.
I’m not sure where the perforated sticker actually comes from but it features images and words from the 4 bands on the Sample as shown and is a fine bit of Factory Records meroabilia. *Have done a little more research and you'll find the images and info on stereocandies on the web.
