Waylon Jennings "Greatest Hits" Limited Edition Picture Disc, released in 1979 by RCA Records

This LP documents Jennings' outlaw country years for RCA and includes several of his most well-known signature songs, the most recent of which had been the title track of I've Always Been Crazy, released the year before. Not counting the Mackintosh & T.J. soundtrack album and the White Mansions concept album, Greatest Hits became Jennings' eighth consecutive release to reach #1 on the charts; it was also one of his last chart-topping records, with What Goes Around Comes Around, released that same year, peaking at #2. This album has been 5× Platinum certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
"Amanda" had been a track on his 1974 album The Ramblin' Man, but had not been released as a single at that time. More than 4½ years later, new overdubs were added to the original track and the song was placed on this greatest hits album. In April 1979 it was issued as a single and soon became one of the biggest country hits of 1979.

Seller is the Original Owner. This item has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment for decades. This is a Limited Edition Picture Disc with original die-cut sleeve. The vinyl record has never been played or removed from its sleeve. It is assumed to be in mint or NM condition. The cover is in NM condition and still has the original shrink wrap, which has never been opened. There is a minor crease at the right edge of the die-cut opening.
Note: Picture discs consist of a solid core that has a paper image placed over it. The core and photo are then covered with clear vinyl and the grooves are pressed on top of them using traditional record presses. The manufacturing process uses less vinyl in the grooves than standard records, and often yields less-than-optimal sound quality. Most picture discs are produced as limited edition products, generally targeted at collectors.
