Description
This collectible album represents the beginning of the illustrious career of one of the bad boys of old school country, Waylon Jennings. Coming out of Lubbock Texas, Waylon began breaking ground here in the rough and tough cowboy bars in Phoenix.
Here is one of the examples of Waylon’s magic and his hold on the audiences. This is Waylon’s second album, “Waylon Jennings at JDs – Recorded almost 40 years ago in December of 1964 at JDs – the biggest nightspot in what was then a rough-and-tumble rowdy country music scene here in Phoenix.
This album has Waylon fronting his three-piece basic band (bass, drums and guitar), through 12 songs of his classic styling. The set list consists of:
Side 1: Side 2:
Crying Dream Baby
Sally Was A Good Old Girl It’s So Easy
Burning Memories Lorena
Big Mamou Love’s Gonna Live Here
Money Abilene
Don’t Think Twice White Lightening
Recorded by Audio Recorders of Phoenix in December 1964 for the totally obscure Bat Records (BAT-1001), this is certainly an obscure collectible. The cover on this one is in VG++ condition, no splits on the seams or anything. The record itself is lightly scuffed, some light scratching, but doesn't look like anything visually that should affect the playback. I don’t have a turntable to check it out, so you’re going to have to review it when you receive it.
Shipping charges will be $6.00 for domestic delivery- record will be very securely packed and shipped Priority. I will ship overseas for the additional postage. PayPal preferred, but personal checks and money orders will work just fine. Personal checks will take a couple days to clear, though.
I have over 600+ positive feedback so you can certainly bid with confidence.
