Description
Wayne Shorter Introducing Vee Jay 3006 mono red label deep groove
Wayne Shorter (ts), Lee Morgan (t), Wynton Kelly (p),Paul Chambers (b), Jimmy Cobb (d) Recorded 1959
Red label with silver print, deep groove both sides. "L8OP-7960-1/L8OP7961-1 in the runouts. No address on back cover. There's a factory paste-on at the bottom of back cover listing the musicians.
Record looks and plays VG++/VG+ to VG++ . The first half of side 2 plays VG+, second half VG++. Side 1 looks clean with some very light scuffing. Side 2 has 2 long, heavier scuffs which are across most of the record and there are some small hairline scratches near the end of Track 1 and beginning of Track 2 which tick lightly below level of the music. No long or deep scratches. Grooves are bright and glossy and record looks little played.
Cover is VG++.
Front cover looks really good. It's very bright and shiny with light wear. There's a dent at the bottom near the pocket and a tiny sliver of the slick is missing. Back cover has a factory stamp, overall light wear with an area of moderate wear at the top. Top seam is not split and bright. Bottom seam has tight 1/4 split at the pocket which is hard to spot. Spine is intact, bright and readable. Corners are tight and sharp.
