Description

What you're looking at: Very Rare Shorter album. ... sounds very much like Coltrane, definitely an amazing album. The vinyl plays FANTASTIC, and I'll formally grade it at a very solid VG+, and complete with Ears, New York labels, and VAN GELDER stamp. You'll see some VERY light marks here or there (maybe 4), but it plays tip-top, I assure you. The cover is in solid shape with seam wear (no splits), and some light creasing with age. Overall, I'd say it's a VERY solid copy ... it's in the upper end of rare Blue Note finds.

As your attorney, I suggest you buy this album.

How it stacks up:

RECORD: VG+ (8.5 of 10) You may see some very light marks, but it plays excellent -- not to be missed.

SLEEVE: VG+ (7.5 of 10) No splits. Some seam wear (NO SPLITTING), light creasing, and general age ... but still looks great and is holding its own.

NOTE: I'm happy to say that I can now vacuum clean ALL records that are sold!

MY GRADING SCALE:

OK, my goal is to be as specific as I can without being ridiculously wordy. I give one of these (from worst to best): G, G+, VG-, VG, VG+, VG++. That is it. No more letters, thus VG++ is a very good record. NM does NOT exist in my scale.

AFTER THE GENERAL GRADING SCALE, I have a second number in parenthesis, which is meant to be more specific. I find that a number is more specific than a general sector of opinion, thus the number will be between 1 and 10. This is meant to give you a more-specific idea of what you are getting into audio quality wise, the former is more for visual.

That being said, I play with a customized Thorens TD 165 through Polk Speakers and a Pioneer receiver. If I played the record, I will write so in the description; otherwise, I listen to small parts of the record for testing -- not the whole thing.

RETURNS: Generally returns are a no go, unless you have a compelling reason; also, I will give a TWO week grace period for exchanges (that means the buyer pays shipping back to me if they want a return). I give plenty of chances to see what you’re buying (audio clips, emails, two part grading system and a full policy description) and, as I see it, the buyer has as much responsibility as the seller to a) know what they are buying and b) have the decency to ask prior to purchase.

COMBINED SHIPPING: I charge a flat rate of $4 for one record, which covers postage, plastic sleeves, replacement inserts, shipping boxes, etc … After that, if you purchase more, it is $1 extra for each record domestically.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I now will ship overseas of whatever the quote is. so CHECK THE QUOTE BEFORE BIDDING!!

I really hope this answers all questions and concerns; however, if it doesn’t, EMAIL ME. Other than that, bid happily.
