Webern, Anton. Trio for Strings, op. 20

     Kathleen Washbourne String Trio (Kathleen Washbourne, violin; Winifred Copperwheat, viola; William Pleeth, cello)

         Matrix Decca AR 3328-2; 3329-1, recorded 1939

         Decca K-904 (2s 78 rpm vinyl shellac)

 Condition: V+//E.  A couple of scuffs at the start of side one click about 10 times.  Some random, invisible ticks.  Labels a bit faded.

 This was the earliest record of Webern’s music on 78, the Leibowitz Symphony, op. 21, being postwar.  His arrangement of a group of Schubert dances for orchestra was issued earlier but are not of Webern’s own music (nor much like it.)
