PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
Weird Al's fifth solo outing from 1988! Includes original glossy inner sleeve with complete lyrics!! LP is a gorgeous VG++/NM- and cover is VG+ with a top left hand corner promo hole. Now for the real reason you're reading this. A set of four insanely rare original 12 X 12 two-sided in-store promotional displays issued by CBS Records in 1988. These were purchased from a former Tower Records (R.I.P.) manager who was a big fan of Weird Al and decided to keep 2 sets from the Tower wall for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Staff saw them as disposable swag and clutter and as a result VERY few survived from the 80s. Rare as hens teeth. One pair has a few small staple holes and small tears from being taken down from the Tower display wall and the other pair is absolutely pristine with NO tears, tape residue, holes or creases whatsoever. This pair was most likely never used as they are perfect. These are the kinds of items Weird Al fans are going to be fighting over in the very near future so don't sleep. You will never see another lot this again.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
