Description

Weird Tales Transcription disc : Nagara pt 2

Up for auction is the one sided transcription disc for a late 1930s Radio program called Weird Tales. I'm not sure if this is an audition program or was actually broadcast as I've found no mention for this recording or series. The information I was given is this is a 1938 recording. Given the weight, size, and thickness of the Transcription disc, I'd say this is correct.

I believe this was an attempt at a Radio series to sell the pulp magazine Weird Tales during the 1930s; in the same manner that The Shadow radio program was used by Street and Smith to sell The Shadow Magazine. At any rate, this recording is extremely rare.

  • This is the single sided disc for the Weird Tales program Nagara pt 2.
  • The Disc is in very good condition and should make a masterful copy after cleaning.

Thanks and happy bidding.
