The Beautiful South - Welcome To The Beautiful South 1989 UK 1st Press Vinyl LP, with the Original Banned Cover.
Go! Discs Record Label - AGOLP 16

This original album cover depicted two pictures by Jan Saudek, one of a woman with a gun in her mouth, and another with a man smoking. Woolworths refused to stock the album, in the words of the band, to "prevent the hoards of impressionable young fans from blowing their heads off in a gun-gobbling frenzy, or taking up smoking" An alternative cover featuring a picture of a stuffed toy rabbit and a teddy bear was therefore made.
A great example of a Interesting, rare and highly Collectable Record.
Record Cover - Good, please see photos
Inner Sleeve - Good, one split please see photos
Record - VG . play tested no skips no jumps, some surface noise, especially on track one which is a known issue with this pressing. Note- there are 3 noticeable in pressing Manufacture marks on the vinyl, having played tested these do not effect the audio. Also some light swirls and scratches more visible in daylight.. in short it plays and sounds very good, better than many of newer albums I've bought new recently.
