Hello and welcome to myauction for this copy of Welcome To The North by The Music. It's a1st issue EU copy from 2004 on Virgin. I don't knowanything about this band, but from play-grading this album I'd beprepared to bet that Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti are intheir 10 favourite albums list.
I've been collectingmusic for 45 years, but have recently decided to drastically slimdown my vinyl collection, therefore you might want to check my otheritems for some desirable records from the 1970s through to the 2000s.You might find some items of interest and you could benefit fromcombined postal discount
I've always cared formy records, played them on high quality gear at low tracking forcesand stored them upright within PVC sleeves. All my listings will beplay-graded with a full description of what I hear. I know what'simportant to you as a vinyl fanatic, and I won't shy away fromtelling you about any defects I find.
Format: 2LP
Disc Size &Speed: 12 inch 33 1/3 rpm
Cover Type:Smooth thick card gatefold..
Cover Condition:Thesleeve is virtually perfect except for a 3cm seam split along thetop edge of the rear half of the gatefold, where the disc has triedto escape during transit.. The spine is fully legible.
Inner Sleeve:Original lined white paper inners, fine condition.
Insert (ifapplicable): N/A
Cat No and MatrixNos:V2989; A-1; C-1; D-1
Record Warpage:Disc 1 has a very slight kink that causes an almost imperceptiblevertical tremble of the tonearm.
Play Area VisualCondition: All sides are clean, no serious marks.
Label Condition: All labels are clean with very minor spindle marks.
Playback Comments:This album plays virtually perfect with quiet deadwax. If I werebringing this home today from a record shop I'd be happy with it asa new purchase.
One note about“hairline” and “scuff” marks. These marks, mostly visible inthe runout deadwax sections are caused by slipping the record in andout of the inner sleeve, and are present on most used records, seenwhen inspected under bright light. They generally don't affect theplayback quality, because the stylus of a properly configuredturntable sits within the groove, not above it, and it doesn't pickup any unwanted noise from surface marks. I therefore don't mentionsurface marks in the visual grading reports, unless I feel they areunusually severe and are contributing to flaws I hear in the audiograding section.
