1967! Sgt. Pepper has changed the World! Now Hippy Chic is everywhere. Frank Zappa abandons his plans for a Mothers meets Lenny Bruce Lp and starts work on his answer to the Love Generation. We're Only In It For The Money comes out in January 1968 and is a Top 30 Lp, a 1st for The Mothers. Zappa blends all his tricks with Special Guest Eric Clapton inpersonating Eric Burdon on LSD and Scarey whispering from The engineer, GaryKellgren. The Lp was finished then edit without Zappa permission. He then went back and remixed it.The alternate mix is very rare, I have one of those as well...lol. The Cover is an inside out Parody of Sgt. Pepper, because Paul McCartney Changed his mind about letting Zappa copy it. Originals also came with an insert just like original Sgt. Pepper's. Great Packaging all around. A whole flowing Concept Lp...maybe the first! Zappa takes on most of The Hippy generations problems with a steeley Eye and a bitter tongue, which makes some of the best social comintarrey of The Late 1960's! The Mono version of this lp was only released as a Promo. There is Not a MONO Stock Version of this Lp.Very hard to find an original Mono Promo Pressing!

Cover VG- Vinyl VG Insert VG+

This a 100% Original 1967 MONO Verve Lp Vinyl is clean some light surface noise minor scuffing tiny papper scuffs Plays Great!. Auction includes the Rare Insert, just a little yellowed on the back from age. Yellow Promo Label has very small initials on it. and a bit of wear very presentable. Cover has cracking and is warn Inside seam of gatefold is completely cracked But The cover does not have a promo sticker so you can trade it out if you have a nicer cover! The Vinyl has a little noise when you drop the needle but otherwise its pretty clean I have not heard any noise while listening to now...lol...Great Mono Mix! Good Luck!
