Description
Westminster WL 5072 Scarlatti 11 Sonatas; Clara Haskil, Piano. 1951 issue, green label, deep groove, flat edges. Vinyl 6.5/10; light scratches, moderate spindle marks (see image). Auditioned in its entirety: plays well, sounds remarkably good with some surface noise. Flaws: Side A Band 4 has audible scuff of about 30 second duration; Side A Band 5 has audible factory pressing flaw of about 20 second duration; both sides play through without skipping. Superlative performance!
Jacket 8/10: slight bowing, light foxing (discoloration) on rear; complete, tight seams and spine. Front cover is very clean, with slight delamination at right edge. Cover design by Jules Halfant; liner notes by Paul Affelder. Plain white sleeve provided.
