360 Vinyl Disc Record Collection including the Beatles White Album, Eric Burdon’s The Black Man’s Burdon and Yes Fragile.
This lot is a collection of 360 vinyl 12 inch records from the 1970’s to the 1990’s. The collection is split 80/20 into the normal collection of big names from this period and a more eclectic mix of Dance/Trance type records many of which are white labels or promo only copies.
There are several loose records without covers but in good condition as they have been stored between other record covers - most of these have blank white labels but are known to have been bought in London in the 1990’s.
All the rest have covers which are in sound condition. Many have the top edge worn from being stacked in open boxes. The lot includes two strong wooden record boxes which hold about 80 records each. The others are in two large cardboard boxes. The good news is that there are only a few Nolan Sisters and Shaky records as well as a couple of cheapo TOTP cover records. Many have fold out covers. There is also a Bruce Springsteen Box Set in good condition with mint inners.
Also in the lot is a Rotel RP380 Record Player. The player itself is in good condition and runs smoothly at both speeds. (You have to move the belt to change speeds). It looks very clean but there is no needle so the output has not been tested. The cover is complete but scratched with two cracks. There are no hinges.
The three really interesting records (I have looked these up on E-bay) are.
The Beatles White Album - PCS 7067. Embossed title with no index number, Cover is good with only a slight tear on the front edge. Side opening. White sleeves and mint poster. Vinyl good.
The Blackman’s Burdon. Eric Burdon and War - SE-4710-2. Double album in good condition. Cover scuffed in a circular pattern. Vinyl good. Contains mint ‘Official War Bond’ dated 31 December 1973.
Fragile by Yes - K50009. Gatefold cover in good condition. Grey overprinted inside. Vinyl good. Contains mint colour booklet.
These are all being sold due a house move and the whole lot has to go. It is too much work to try to split it all up. The items are very heavy so it is collection only from Gosfield in Essex (near Braintree, Halstead).
Usual E-bay rules. You are bidding to buy and take away all of it not just the bits you fancy! There are enough records to start up a small business or blitz the boot sales.
