Description
White Stripes Triple Inchophone 3” Record Set of 7
Up for auction today is the set of 7 3” records sold on the 2005 Icky Thump tour by the White Stripes. These 3” records were available on tour in 2005, at various Third Man Records pop-up stores, and Third Man Records store in Nashville. Now, I hear you say “Why the heck would I want to buy 3” records, I don’t have a tripleinchophone to play them on?” Well, if you have some ingenuity, you don’t need a tripleinchophone / 8 Ban / Bandai record player to play them on, you just need a regular record player. That’s right; these will play on a standard record player…with some ingenuity. These records play at standard 33rpm. The primary challenge is the small hole in the center of the record. It is completely possible to devise an adapter to put over your existing record nub. Or, for some record players, the center nub is removable so you could build your own. Proof:

As for the records themselves, you will get all 7 records in the box set:
Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground
7 Nation Army
Hotel Yorba
Blue Orchid
Fell In Love With A Girl
The Hardest Button to Button
Top Special (ONLY available in the 3” format)
This set includes the 7 singles with white sleeves and double side information sheets in plastic sleeves with sealing flaps, the box, and the ribbon used to tie the box that says “The White Stripes”. There are two issues with this set and they were present when I bought it. The box has been a bit mangled in the one corner. This didn’t affect the records or sleeves, but just doesn’t look as pretty. I am sure you could find a replacement box at a jewelry store or maybe the dollar store. Remember, it’s just a box. The second is the 7 Nation Army record, it has two bits of imperfection and dare I say…damage. There are two spots on the record where it doesn’t play well and pops. It came right out of the sleeve this way so I do not know what happened. It looks like something hit the record as it appears to be dull instead of a scratch. Pictures below. I can try to take more pictures if you’d like, but it’s hard to get a good picture of what the damage looks like. If you don’t plan on playing them, no worries. I played each record a couple times except for Hotel Yorba, I played it about a dozen times total. Records are made of mold injected plastic. These aren’t vinyl, they are plastic. I will accept returns if the item is not as described. I will not accept returns for damage caused during shipping or buyer’s remorse, buyer must pay return shipping along with insurance and delivery confirmation in order to receive refund. All items are packed to arrive safely and insurance is included in the shipping and handling price. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will combine shipping where possible on other items I have listed.
