Description
Ok, I have a kid, I should put some more scratch in her college fund. So I'm listing my rare White Stripes vinyl up on eBay. Ok, so its only two singles, but in my humble opinion they're two of the best three slabs of wax Jack and Meg ever put out.*
You are looking at and maybe are about to bid on a Second Pressing of the White Stripes debut single, LET'S SHAKE HANDS.
This has never been played, it is virgin black vinyl! (I always intended to buy a new record player and never did get round to it). Everything is mint condition, as mint as the day I got it from Italy Records. I know this because today was the first time I ever opened the cardboard box that Italy sent the single in! I wanted to keep it perfect for when I got that record player, so I never even opened it up! First and only time out of the sleeve was for the picture on this listing.
I ordered this directly from Italy Records, and received it in early 2002. Because I never got that record player, this has been sitting in storage ever since. I'll package up the box and include it in the auction, so if you're so inclined you can pretend you ordered it yourself from Italy back in the day. I think I paid by sending them a check. in the mail. They don't make records like this one anymore. (Don't worry, I won't restamp the box Italy used, I'll house everything inside a newer bigger mailing box]

RELEASES
1st press: February 1998 -1000 copies, clear red vinyl, fold out picture sleeve on thin matt paper with small photocopied insert.
2nd press: Mid 2001 (without pic sleeve). Early 2002 (with pic sleeve). Total 2000 copies on black vinyl without insert. 1000 copies were without picture sleeve (due to sleeves not done before UK tour) - remaining 1000 copies with new, slightly redesigned picture sleeve (darker red print on thicker semi-gloss paper and text in different font on back). <-- What you are bidding on.
