Description
"The Who Live at Leeds" first UK pressing with the black stamp on cover (blue and red came later).
Bought new in the day, very rarely played and then only with an Ortophon arm with good stylus. Now for sale due to downsizing.
- Vinyl is in Near Mint condition with no visible or audible marks or scratches, very few spindle marks.
- Inner sleeve is Good with some age colouration and creasing, no tears or graffiti.
- Outer gatefold cover is in Excellent condition with no tears or graffiti and with no visible corrosion to the staples, some discolouration.
- All inserts are Near Mint with the exception of 'PREMIER TALENT ASSOCIATES' which has creases and a small tear as shown in photos. I have added a photo of the poster - I was reluctant to do so because unfolding it might have caused damage. Note that the small fold top right corner has always been there so is original.
Matrix numbers: "2406001 A // 1 1 1 3" and "2406001 B // 1 1 1 3".
Contains a set of 12 inserts including a poster. The set was originally stored in a greaseproof-bag (missing), where the inserts were held inside the pocket in the gatefold cover.
The inserts are as follows...
- Large 'MARQUEE' Poster (the "LIVE AT LEEDS" one came later).
- 'KINGS AGENCY' insert.
- Small 'DELIVERY NOTE' insert (thin 'typewriter' paper, later ones are thicker normal paper).
- 'MY GENERATION LYRICS' typed insert (with handwritten annotations and THREE handwritten asterisks - two on the right & 1 on the left, later ones only have two).
- Small 'NOTICE' Insert.
- 'NEW ACTION LTD' insert (folded along the central line, later ones are NOT).
- 'HIGH NUMBERS' typed payment insert (folded along the central line, later ones aren’t).
- 'PREMIER TALENT ASSOCIATES' Contract Insert (made in the CORRECT Yellow Colour, later ones aren’t).
- 'EMI RECORDS' correspondence insert (made on CORRECT thinner paper, later ones are thicker).
- 'MARQUEE CLUB' payments insert.
- Small 'PICTURE OF THE WHO' photograph insert.
- 'GUITAR OVERHEAD' insert (with 'handwritten text' on the reverse.)
