Description
In 1962-3, Columbia Masterworks released a four-LP (long-playing) boxed recording of the original Broadway cast performing the entire play under the direction of Alan Schneider. This recording is of the original cast featuring Uta Hagen, Arthur Hill, George Grizzard and Melinda Dillon.
I've read that the release contained a sixteen-page booklet which is NOT included in this set. I got this as a gift in 1983 and it never contained the booklet much to my dismay! The recording was issued in both stereo (DOS 687) and monaural (DOL 287) formats. This version is in "360 Sound" stereo. It is out-of-print and was never re-released in any other format.
It may have been played twice since I've owned it. The records are in very good condition, no scratches, always stored upright in the box. The box itself does have some wear and tear around the corners.
