Description
Wicked Mix Freestyle Classics Volume 1 12" Vinyl Record Promo DJ Remix Compilation Near Mint, Very Rare
I purchased this record in the early 90's and it has been well taken care of and stored away with my other records in a smoke-free environment. I am making this available to anyone who can appreciate these Freestyle Classics.
It is truly rare to find this record and in such extraordinary condition. All of the Wicked Mix Records were sold as "Promotional Only for DJ use" because of copyright legalities. This allowed them to make compilation remixes of popular songs and sell them, usually, through DJ record clubs. I purchased this record through a record store that normally sold DJ records.
The average consumer was completely unaware of their existence which makes the rarity even more evident. These were the alternate versions of songs that you would sometimes hear on the radio and wonder where you could purchase that version.
The condition of the Vinyl is Near Mint. The Sleeve is Generic but is also Near Mint and is still in shrink but it is coming apart at the middle where the shrink comes together. Please see pictures for a better idea of the condition.

I am going to be selling a large part of my collection of my, mostly 80's and early 90's, vinyl. A lot of Rap, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, FreeStyle, High Energy, Pop, and Dance Music.
I package and ship all records outside of the album cover in a freely included clear plastic outer sleeve. I also include a new anti-static inner sleeve, that replaces any original paper inner sleeves, if needed, to help prevent any further scuffs or scratches. My double wrapped, crisscrossed for strength, and over-sized for corner protection, custom boxes help ensure that your records(s) will arrive safely without any damage during shipping.
* I recommend a light cleaning/dusting of the record(s) before use.
** Pre-owned vinyl is subject to normal wear and tear. Vinyl condition rating and listening experience are subjective and variable based on equipment. While my listings are non-returnable, I am committed to your satisfaction. In the rare event that the condition of your purchase is received significantly different than as described, please contact me within 2 days upon receipt before leaving feedback so that I may attempt to rectify the situation.
CONDITION GUIDE
Still Sealed (SS)
A record that is still in its original manufacturer's shrink wrap and sealed.
Near Mint (NM or M-)
RECORD- A nearly perfect record. An NM record has more than likely never been played or played no more than a few times on a good system. The record should show no obvious signs of wear.
SLEEVE- A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.
Excellent (EX)
RECORD- May contain very light surface scratches and/or scuffs yet still fresh-in-appearance.
SLEEVE- May show slight signs of ring-wear / lightly bent corners.
Very Good Plus (VG+)
RECORD- A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". There may be low-level surface noise and light crackles and pops may be present, especially during quiet or soft passages in the track. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration. Spindle marks may be present.
SLEEVE- Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Excellent.
Very Good (VG)
RECORD- Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
SLEEVE- It may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+)
RECORD- A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
SLEEVE- A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present.
Poor (P), Fair (F)
I will not sell any records with this grade or below.
