Description

Wilbur Harden w/ John Coltrane        Tanganyika Strut    Savoy 12136 mono  Red label deep groove RVG

John Coltrane (ts), Wilbur Harden (flghn), Curtis Fuller (tb), Tommy Flanagan, Howard Williams (p), Ali Jackson (b), Art Taylor (d) Recorded 1958

"Blood red" label and deep groove both sides. "X20" and "RVG" in the runouts both sides. Paste on cover with "Newark, New Jersey" address on back.

The record looks M- and plays quietly at VG++. No scuffs and no scratches. There's a tiny dig on Side 1 Track 2 that ticks very lightly 2 or 3 times.  Grooves look bright and glossy and do not show wear.  Stamp on B Side label.

 The cover is VG+.

The front cover has shine and light wear and looks nice. The back cover has light wear, hint of ring wear and  a small stamp. Top seam is split and untaped app 5 inches at the pocket. Bottom seam not split.  Small spots of wear and denting at the corners. Spine is intact, but slick is pasted on so that spine print is on the edge of front.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
