Description

Wild Child Gipson & The Peoria Soul Merchants 45 Boogaloo Train To Peoria (2:44) b/w Coal Mine No. 2 (4:54). Produced by JR Everett on C.A.B. Records, 70328A/B. Rare early soul funk from Peoria Illinois artist Gipson. A-side is a killer organ and guitar driven workout, and the b-side is a liberal re-write of "Working In A Coal Mine"... both sides make reference to Peoria Illinois, making this a unique record indeed. Copies of this are very rare!! Record rates out as a very conservative VG... just some minor scuffing, no real scratches, plays great - loud & proud. Label has the number 62 written on each side, and looks like the numbers were covered up by tape at some point... this could probably be removed fairly easily, but I'll leave that to the next owner. Other than that, labels just show a little wear, but look good. Bid with confidence on this killer midwest soul rarity! MESSAGE ME for a 45 second clip if you're curious!
