Willie Bobo & the Bo-Gents - Do What You Wanna Do

Incredible work by Willie Bobo -- a slamming record of hard funky instrumentals, one that sounds different than any of his other albums! The record's a killer all the way through -- a mixture of Latin and deep 70s funk, one of the few perfect fusions of the styles, held up beautifully all the way through the set. We've always liked Willie a lot, but honestly, we don't know how he managed to make a record this funky -- but we're also not arguing, just enjoying the grooves with tremendous delight and surprise. Great all the way through, and includes the break cuts "Do What You Want to Do", "Broasted or Fried", and "Soul Foo Young" -- plus a version of "Dindi", which, for some reason, Willie seemed to record every chance he got! Other titles include "Shut Up & Pay Attention", "Come Together", and "Never You Mind".

Records shipped outside of jacket to prevent seam damage. Most packages mailed out within 24 hours of payment received. Any audio snippets present were made from actual vinyl being sold. All payments must be received within 7 days from the ending date of the auction or the item will be re-listed. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. All sales final. Registration may be required on large international orders at an additional cost. All international orders weighing over 4 pounds must be shipped International Priority at an increased rate. GRADING:NM: Looks unplayed or perhaps played once or twice.
EX: Very light surface marks often from the inner sleeve that do not affect play. Perhaps a very light tick or brief moment of barely audible surface noise at the very worst. Overall a very clean record.
VG+: Light surface noise during a quiet moment or two. Might play with a few light pops here and there but nothing sustained over more than a few seconds.
VG: Surface noise is more pronounced or more frequent than in a VG+ record, but never skips or overtakes the music. Might play with some light pops or ticks for a minute or two at a time. Still an enjoyable listen.
VG-: A filler copy. Will play with louder pops or ticks than a VG record and surface noise might compete with the music during the quieter moments.
