Dr. John's Spin Factory can only agree! Willie Dixon truly IS the blues. Consider some of the song titles, and ask yourself, 'Where have I heard these songs before?" Ummm, how about Eric Clapton? Cream? Muddy Waters? Rolling Stones? Doors? Howlin' Wolf? Yeah, baby! Where do you suppose these, and so many other top-of-the charts artists copped the blues tunes they made their own, and in many cases made into hits? Yup, a whole bunch of those songs came from the pen of Mr. Willie Dixon. And the copy of Mr. Dixon's "I Am The Blues" is not just one of the best blues albums there is (as he wrote every song), this copy is SEALED, brand new, and ready to fill your ears with its lasting charms.
Initially released in 1970, this copy was a reissue from 1991 (the first reissue following the initial 1970 release), and the jacket looks as it did the day I bought it in 1991, brand new. (Note, this is not a cutout.).
