WILLIE DIXON. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BLUES. MEGA RARE,SIGNED COVER BY WILLIE,BUTCH AND FREDDIE DIXON,JOHNNY D MOORE,JIMMY TILLMAN AND THE CHICAGO BLUES ALL STARS. very rare oppurtunity to own a peice of true blues history. Authentic,totaly genuine autograph from the blues master himself,Willie Dixon. Recognised as one of the most influential songwriters/musicians in shapeing the sound of chicago blues,willie dixon was responsible for penning such master works duch as hoochie coochie man,little red rooster,spoonfull,my babe,i just want to mak love to you among many others. his songs have been covered by hendrix,dylan,led zeppelin,and rolling stones. his work was as important,if not more important than,say,muddy waters and j.b. lenoir. This album,released in 1976 captures willie in great form and with a great band. the music is fresh,from the heart and true to the blues. All but one of the 10 tracks are written by willie and they are all scorchers. Ovation records.ov/1705. matrix numbers.ov/1705-1-1-1-a ov/1705-1-1-1b. very first press. The record is in excellent+ condition with no visible marks and only the very,very faintest of hairline removal marks under extreme light. the cover still has most of its shrink wrap on apart from a strip where it was opened on the night when willie and the band signed it in 1980. The 4 seperate signings read as follows from top left downwards..... "to denise,sam and amanda from willie dixon and blues all**. Butch dixon. freddie dixon. - to denise amanda and pam love from jimmy tillman (j.t) chicago blues all stars xx 1980. best to all from johnny d moore. what an incredible line up and an incredible set of signatures. this is an oppurtunity which in all probability will never arise again. i have had this record for around 12 years and have only played it twice. i have cherished it as a hendrix and blues fan and cared for it loveingly. financial circumstances force me to pass it on to a new home and new carer. a low start and modest reserve for this historical musical document. please contact me with any questions and good luck.
