Hello,

Do you collect vinyl records?  Or do you just enjoy the pure sound that comes from good vinyl record, without all the compression and filtering of a CD?  Well I have some vinyl records that I will be listing.  Both 45’s and some Albums.  All have been play-graded using the following equipment (pictured):

Technics SL-230 Turntable

Audio-Technica Stylus AT8000E with counterweight set at 2.5 grams  Frequency response of 15-25,000 Hz. With a Dual Magnet 0.4 x 0.7-mil Elliptical Diamond and 20 deg. vertical tracking angle.

Cleaned with Gruv-Glide II prior to playing

All have been stored in a climate controlled environment

In most cases, I have taken multiple pictures, in sunlight, flash, and ambient light.  These will give you a sense of the label and record condition.  I have also taken pictures of both sides of the sleeve.

Sleeve Condition:  Original sleeve, intact on all three sides with only feathering at one of the top opening corners

Side A

Song:  THE DUCK

Play Grade:  VG, Slight static, NO skips, pops or cracks. 

Visual Grade:  VG, slight scuffs, small stain on edge about 1/16”

Label Grade: VG, some very slight sticker residue

Label Markings:  45-D-4012, AMP 45-00818, Promotional Copy, Not For Sale

 Side B

Song:  LOVE RUNS OUT

Play Grade:  VG++, CLEAN SOUND 

Visual Grade:  VG, slight scuffs

Label Grade:  P, some sticker residue and portion of label missing (see photo)

Label Markings:  45-D-4012, AMP 45-00819

History:  From my personal collection.  No story for this one.

Play Grading:

P = Poor, has skips or a lot of static when played

VG = Very Good, has some static but no skips or pops  Perhaps a better cleaning or turntable could improve performance.

VG+ = Very Good Plus, the record when played sounds clean, with only very minimal static.

VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus, which is when I played it and the sound was very crisp with no static.

Visual Grading:

VG = Very Good, usually with stickers or sticker residue on label, or any tears or discoloration, or significant scratches on surface.

VG+ = Very Good Plus, means label is clean, but record may have slight scuffs that show wear.

VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus, means  label and vinyl is near mint condition.  I don’t have many 45’s in this condition but almost all my LPs are in this condition.  I was older, and took better care of them.  Including using Discwasher and, in most cases, I’d play once or twice to dub onto a cassette and never play again.
