We base grading (for non sealed records) on play testing each record and looking at the record carefully. We try to grade conservatively and to describe beyond the simple grade (i.e. background noise, pops, etc.)
WE USE THE FOLLOWING GRADES FOR VINYL:
Sealed: Cover Jacket is sealed in shrink wrap, disc is sold “as is” and is not inspected
NM: Near perfect with no visible signs of handling
EX : No scratches. Very few light imperfections that won’t affect the overall sound.
VG+ : May have sleeve scuffs, light marks and/or a couple of light scratches, but the record plays well. May have light noise in the quietest passages.
VG : Displays a number of light marks and/or scratches. May have background noise, especially in between songs.
VG- : At least one mark/scratch of which can be felt with a fingernail. Many scratches, scuffs, marks. May have background noise, pops, etc.
G: Heavy wear, marks, scratches scuffs. This record has background noise, pops, etc.
WE USE THE FOLLOWING GRADES FOR COVERS:
