Description
Hey Jude is the ninth studio album by the American soul singer. It was released on the Atlantic Records label in 1969. The title track cover of the Beatles song peaked at #13 on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart. It also hit #23 on Top 200 Albums Chart. The album is noteworthy for the session guitar work by then relatively unknown Duane Allman. Eric Clapton reportedly heard it leading to his forming Derek and The Dominoes with Allman. The album was recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and used the legendary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. Nice copy in shrink here.
