Description
From a large collection of vintage acetates, here we have a song called Shout You Sinners by Winfield Scott (co-writer of Tweedle Dee for Lavene Baker, Return to Sender for Elvis Presley, and Home in Your Heart for Solomon Burke) that was apparently not commercially recorded. Mr. Scott was a regular collaborator with Otis Blackwell, and while this song appears to be written by Scott alone, it has handwritten lyrics, which is very unusual in this collection. Only the Otis Blackwell acetates and this one have handwritten lyrics. Scott was a member of the doo-wop vocal group The Cues, and also worked under the name Robie Kirk. One sided 10" 45 rpm acetate is in nice VG+ shape, it has a small edge warp long before the grooves start that you can see in the video, but it doesn't effect play, and the acetate plays through beautifully.
