Vinyl Record Grading System

• M (Mint) Absolutely perfect in every way. Sealed or unplayed. No marks, no spindle wear, no warps. Jackets are flawless with no creases, seam splits, or discoloration. Rarely used except for sealed items.

• M‑ (Near Mint / Mint Minus) Almost perfect. Vinyl looks unplayed or played only a handful of times with no audible flaws. May have the faintest sleeve scuff visible under strong light but no scratches. Jacket shows minimal handling with no major defects.

• EX+ (Excellent Plus) A step below Near Mint. Vinyl may show a few very light marks or hairlines that do not affect play. Sound quality remains strong with little to no surface noise. Jacket may have slight edge wear or faint ring wear but remains clean and presentable.

• EX (Excellent) Vinyl has light marks or scuffs, possibly a few hairlines, but plays through with only minor background noise. Still a very enjoyable listen. Jacket may show moderate wear such as light creasing, small seam wear, or minor discoloration.

• EX‑ (Excellent Minus) Vinyl shows more noticeable marks or scuffs, with occasional light surface noise or ticks, but no skips. Jacket may have heavier ring wear, small seam splits, or more obvious handling wear, though still intact and collectible.

• VG+ (Very Good Plus) Vinyl has several marks and scuffs, with some background noise in quieter passages, but still plays well. Jacket shows clear wear such as seam splits, ring wear, or writing, but remains structurally sound.

• VG (Very Good) Vinyl has significant marks and scuffs, with consistent background noise, though music is still listenable. Jacket may have heavy wear, seam splits, or stains. Still collectible but primarily for listening rather than display.

• G (Good) Vinyl is heavily worn with scratches, scuffs, and noise throughout. Jacket may be torn, stained, or heavily damaged. Only suitable as a filler copy.
