I'm a huge Beatles and Mccartney fan and record collector but I cannot find what year this pressing came out. I would guess it was in the early 80's when he made a comeback away from the Wings. If anybody can enlighten me it would be appreciated.
This is a beautiful example and the only reason I am selling is due to having an Apple original. Playing them both back to back I cannot find any difference in sound quality so presumably it was the same master recording. I dare say this example is in better condition but I am attached to the Apple version and pointless having a 2nd copy when someone else could be enjoying it.
A very underrated and poor selling album hence clean copies are quite rare and in my opinion due to go up in value soon. The more commercial albums such as Ram and Band on the Run are already creeping up, and they sold in vast quantities on vinyl.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM No question this is Near Mint, with Mint being reserved for a warped sealed version. Perfect glossy finish with not a single mark on the record. The labels are perfect just the faintest spindle wear, but likely only played a handful of times.
Record Audio - NM Not surprising that the record sounds perfect with no surface noise I can detect. Beautiful sound and as mentioned as full and rich as the Apple original.
Record Sleeve- VG+ Very nice condition particularly the beautiful photo on the front which has nicely retained the original colour hue. The only defect is a price tag residue on the top right which I have left alone to avoid further damage. Why do dealers do it, you think they would know better. There is some light shelf wear on the edges and spine but being white it isn't very obvious. Stored in plain white sleeves which are in good condition.
