Description

For sale is Winston Churchill: Authorized Recording Of His Actual Speeches, narrated by Edward R. Murrow, originally released in 1965 by Columbia Records in a gate-fold presentation with a 14-page booklet. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-L/1-AE, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition. On this black Columbia label are two CBS logos, one on each side of the label's outer center rim, resembling "Eyes" and named "2-Eye" Columbia releases by collectors. These pressings are sought after for their superior sound quality, due to their state-of-the art engineering for their time. The vinyl is still sealed in its original plastic bag and must be considered Mint. The cover is graded as Near Mint Minus because of minor corner rubs. The spine is Near Mint. This is the best copy of this very rare album that I have ever seen and you would be hard pressed to find another one in this condition, given the fact that this record is over 50 years old and it is still sealed.  I have more albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're almost all Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
