Description
Super-clean copy of this 1977 Harvest debut single from London-based influential movers and shakers, Wire. Although some of the purists would state that these guys were "Not strictly Punk" they just happened to be around at the time and kind of got roped in, you only have to listen to their stuff and it ticks all the boxes. Many of the bands that followed in the "post-punk movement will cite Wire as a major influence.
Initial copies of this Harvest release came with a picture sleeve, which is obviously a more desirable item for collectors, however, any copies of this single, either with or without the picture sleeve are incredibly hard to come by - especially in good shape.

Vinyl: VG++ Super-clean copy with only very light superficial surface marks. Play-tested in full and still sounds fantastic. Reproduction is faultless. Standard two-colour green Harvest company label with black label-text on a four-pronged push-out. The labels are clean and free from scuffs, stains and blemishes with only light traces of spindle-wear.
Sleeve: VG+ Standard Harvest green company paper die-cut in good clean shape.
It's one of the genuine collectables from the punk era. Copies are listed elsewhere on this site with and without picture covers for prices approaching £50. Well good luck to them if they manage to get that much, but I like to think my stuff represents great collectables at value for money prices, so this auction will have a very attractive start-price and no hidden reserves.
