LABEL CONDITION: Very clean, bright and fresh colours, a very few very faint spindle marks. Made In England by The Decca Record Co. Ltd. text.

RARITY: Very early pressings of theis rock classic are  very scarce. The pink and orange label is recognised as the first pressing as MCA changed the colours of the labels many times and the colours are difficult to keep up with, a brown and red variant followed and then by an all black one in 1972-1973. None of the formats were around for very long and all are collectable. The earlier pressed heavier records like this one were made by Decca, and these pressings are in my opinion the best. The sleeves were printed by Moore and Matthes, as this one is, with wide spines. Later ones were printed by Robor with narrower spines.

MATRIX NUMBERS: 7- 224 / 7- 225

COVER GRADE: EXCELLENT (-) an unlaminated gatefold format with matt smooth surfaces. The Moore and Matthes covers were very prone to wear and more than the later ones, with the heavier vinyl usually causing ringwear very quickly, this copy has escaped this but does have some shelfwear on the top edges of the cover. there are a few age spots in the bottom laft hand corner of the front. There is some slight thickening to the opening edge, but this is minor. The spine is square and all print is clear and legible, but with some edgewear to the leading edge of the spine.

VINYL GRADE: EXCELLENT, with one very light hairline to Side One probably caused by removal from the inner. Side Two has a few short light hairlines. Both sides have a mirror like finish with no dulling of the vinyl.  It has the original Decca polylined inner which is in Excellent  condition.

PAYMENT & POSTAGE DETAILS: The record will be securely packed in a professional vinyl envelope and sent with the record outside of the cover in a polythene sleeve, sandwiched between two cardboard stiffeners.
