Description

This one is extremely rare and a great thing to own if you collect or like the Wishbone Ash. On sale is the Dutch MCA Records test pressing of the 1978 No Smoke Without Fire album. Only a handful of these were made and fewer have survived. This comes from a collection of one of the children of an EMI producer, working at and for the record company in Haarlem in the Netherlands, who has kept it stored for over 40 years and has hardly played it. The sleeve has Wishbone Ash and 61638 (the catalogue number) handwritten on the sleeve. The record has a white Proefpersing (Dutch for testpressing) label on both the A side and the B side. The sheet with details on the album (cue sheet) is missing. The record sounds really good, and looks really good, with some minor ticks but it doesn't skip. The sleeve itself is in poor condition with some holes due to silverfishes and is visibly old (a bit yellow) and used, which could be expected after 45 years! If you need more pictures, just ask.

Shipping and handling is: Nederland €13, EU €19, Rest of the world €29.  I am a collector of vinyl myself and hate it when an album arrives damaged or warped, so I use new cardboard boxes, plastic sleeve and cardboard on both sides of the lp. I can combine shipping, just add another euro for each additional lp.
