Description

An original late 1st issue of Pilgrimage on UK MCA dog-bone label. Matrix 1L/3L. Stampers 1B/1UK [great audio provenance]. Most likely pressed on the run in to Xmas 1971 a couple of months after 1st release. Note very early pressings can be found with pink/red dog-bone label. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an origin gatefold cover. We also have the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean throughout and it's hard to find fault. A clean and impressive rendition from start to finish.
Cover (Vg+) In decent condition with only very minor handling front and rear. The interior looks good with no issues. Some light edge wear and nice firm sharp openings. The spine has folded over at 45 degrees [as most will tend to]. Text on the spine fully legible and just light wear at the edges. Overall the cover still retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
