Description

An original 1st issue MONO press of WTB on UK Parlophone from Xmas 1963. Matrix 7N/7N  Note how the perimeter text still reads Parlophone and 1st pub stil exhibiting. Lovely solid pressing as you would expect. A well preserved original - not abused like so many other copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. This is very 1st design with dark imaging. It looks very distinctive! There's an original Emitex inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. For the vintage - it looks really good. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Given the vintage - very impressive. I'm just getting clean mono feed - mostly. Even the quieter tracks play well. Perhaps a few crackles in a couple of the quieter spots per side. A couple of clicks in one brief spot. To be frank - this is a really nice quality example of WTB. Overall a great rendition and better than what typically surfaces. Remember this is genuine '63 and is now 60 years of age!
Cover (Vg) Difficult to find in really great condition - but this example is about average. Nice clean front with some laminate lift...but you can't argue with that iconic image. Slightest tear at opening. Nicer than the average '63 copy. The rear  is exhibiting some handling dirt and wear. Still tidy though. . The spine is 70%+ intact. Minoe edge wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Some ageing , and no splits.
