Description

A genuine 1st stereo pressing of WTB on UK Parlophone. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1G/1R - which I believe puts it within the first 600 copies ever pressed. 'Gotta' misspelling on the label and 'Jobete' credit - indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod and Lofthouse cover with large 'STEREO'. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) Absolutely super condition and has clearly, and unbelievably, only seen very light use. There are a couple of spindle traces, but not very much at all. Under close inspection there are only a couple of those super light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. And we're not banding Ex+ about willy nilly - this is solid Ex+ no problem. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. I didn't detect more than a couple of crackles [literally] the whole way through. Truly unbelievable and certainly a one off....final upgrade..
Cover (Ex) Again, in top-level condition. Lovely shiny front without creasing and a rear almost totally free from the usual fading. Spine 100% intact. The only thing vaguely noticeable is a couple of small age spots on the rear and some writing indentation just noticeable in Harrison's hair. Other than that this is one superbly preserved cover and the true 1st issue.
Inner (Vg+) No splits just a bit of ageing.
