THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'
1963 UK *1st STEREO* PRESSING LP
This excellent & extremely early copy is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label bears the incorrect 'Jobete' publishing credit for the song 'Money'
The rear tracklisting bears the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' title.
A 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in an early front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover with the darker front image.
The 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' misspelling is present on the rear tracklist.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2
Stamper numbers: 1/R & 1/G
Disc weight: 157g
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright with just a touch of hole wear but no other signs of wear.
Visual: 1. EXCELLENT 2. VERY GOOD
Clean, bright & glossy surfaces with just a few insignificant wispy hairlines on side 1 in strong daylight but no other marks or wear. Side 2 is just as clean but downgraded due to a 2cm scratch which is feelable beneath the fingertips and runs mostly over track 5. Close & careful inspection direclty under halogen light reveals little more than some inner-sleeve removal marks but no other major faults. Both sides lie 100% flat on the tuntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: 1. EXCELLENT 2. VERY GOOD
A wonderful warm and clear sounding copy which has obviously recieved just a few careful plays on top quality equipment. Each track plays perfectly cleanly & clearly with no traces of any groovewear distortion or backgorund noise in either channel. The disc's only fault is a repeating click throughout 'Devil In Her Heart' but apart from that, there really is little else to fault audibly on this extremely respectable sounding early disc.
Cover
EXCELLENT -
A fine example of this iconic cover with a bright, clean & unyellowed front panel which bears just a few tiny 'thumbnails' and a few light scratches but no further significant signs of wear. All corners are clean and unbumped and both opening edges are undamaged. The rear panel is bright and clean with no significant blemishes or any writing or missing paper. The flipacks are all undamaged and all seams are smooth and unstressed. The spine is fully worded & completely undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & bright with just a few unavoidable storage creases but no writing, tears or splits.
