Description

THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

This barely played UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from the album's initial November 1963 release and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3045

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

A 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 2 label.

Track 3 on side 2 is misspelt as 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'

The publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Jobete Mus. NCB'

Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2

Stamper codes: 3/M & 1/M

Vinyl weight: 165g

Housed in an early-type front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the distinctly 'darker' front image than later printed covers, together with the large stereo indicator.

Like the side 2 label, the rear track-listing misspells track 3 on side 2 as 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'.

Complete with an original 'Use Emitex..' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A 1st-class clean & bright pair with just some light wear to the side 2 centre hole but nothing on 1.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are completely free from any scuffs or scratches when viewed in strong daylight. In fact, apart from a sparkling rainbow gloss shine and one or two harmless, barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp, there is very little to fault here. Both sides of this very well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Play: NEAR MINT

This great sounding copy has received only extremely careful play on excellent equipment and the sound remains perfectly clean, clear & warm throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion on any track in either channel. Even the delicate 'Til there Was You' plays cleanly with no background noise or break up and there is not a single click, pop or any other audible distraction anywhere.

Cover: EXCELLENT -

A very respectable, if a little age-tarnished example of this iconic cover which retains a clean, glossy front panel with just a hint of storage rubbing but no major creasing or wear. There is some mild toning to the white areas but nothing significant. There are tiny bruises to the right corners but no wear to the others and both fragile opening edges are completely unworn. As you can see, the rear panel has bears numerous foxing/age-spots but is free from any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and all seams and the fully worded spine are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with some light handling wrinkles, but no discolouration, writing, tears or seam splits.
