1963 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT'**
This rare NEAR MINT UK 1963 '2nd' STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label carries the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' title and the corrected 'Dominion. Belinda (Ldn.) Ltd. NCB' credit for the song 'Money'.
There is no tax/price code on either label.
Housed in an early issue front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the darker front image and large stereo logo.
The rear tracklisting carries the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' title.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2
Stamper numbers: 1/A & 3/GO
N.B. These are significant lower mother/stamper numbers than the 'Jobete' labelled copy I also have listed this week.

An outstanding set with just a single tiny spindle mark on the side 2 label only.
Even the silver centre marker is still partially visible around each centre hole.

This disc looks as it it has just been bought home from the shop and has clearly only ever been out of its cover on less than a handful of occaisions in 45 years.
Both sides are pristine and retains all their deep-goss 'as new' shine & are totally unmarked in daylight with not a single scuff, mark or scratch anywhere to be seen.
Even with close and careful inspection directly under my unforgiving powerful halogen desk lamp I struggled to find even the faintest of inner-sleeve removal marks and there is arguable a strong case for giving this a straight MINT grade.
Both sides lie unquestionably 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.

Clearly played just two or three times on good quality equipment, this is a wonderful warm and clear sounding copy with no discernable audible faults or wear.
All tracks play perfectly and 'as new' with no groovewear or background noise in either channel.
I will not go on, but just say that you will not be disappointed with this exquisite copy.
Cover: NEAR MINT
Such a pleasure and a real rarity to find this cover in such outstanding condition.
The front panel displays the darker and grainier version of the iconic image which is a feature only to be found on the very first batch printed. The image was significantly lightened on later covers.
The high-gloss laminate is completely unscratched and unrubbed and bears just a few tiny spine wrinkles and three beneath Ringo's chin.
There are inevitable tiny shelfwear bruises to the lower two corners but no significant wear or damage to any and both opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering to the brittle card stock.
The rear lives up to the front's promise. It is as clean and white as it could be, with no age-discolouration, handling marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are perfectly intact, clean & undamaged and both seams are strong, unstressed and unsplit.
The spine is clean and unsquashed with a perfectly worded text.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
'As new' with no splits, tears or any other faults.
