- the original outer polybag with the sticker
- the original interior cardboard protective sleeve

Original Master Recording
Mastered from the original Abbey Road Studio master tapes.
Half-Speed LP Mastering
Mobile Fidelity is the first label to use the half-speedmastering technique. All LP releases are pressed from lacquers cut at 1/2normal playing speed. This is accomplished by playing master tape at 1/2 it'snormal speed, while simultaneously running the cutting lathe at 1/2 speed. Forinstance, a 30 inch per second speed tape would be played at 15ips, while thelathe is running at 16?? RPM (when cutting a standard 33?? RPM LP). Thehalf-speed mastering technique allows for extended frequency response andbetter transient attack.
Supervinyl
Pressed on virgin "SuperVinyl" vinyl. Supervinylis a harder and more durable vinyl formula than traditional formulas. The pressingsexhibit a very low surface noise, as well as pops and clicks.
LP is NM, with no visible marks of any kind. It looks new. I have not played it.
The cover is VG++, with the following observations:
- upper right corner is dented
- upper left corner is rubbed
- the bottom let corner is intact, but with an overlap gapas made by the factory
- the bottom right corner is intact
- sheen appears to have a film from the polybag
- no creases
The interior cardboard protective sleeve is VG++
- upper right corner is dented
- upper left corner of flap appears has some color missingfrom the factory
- no creases

I found this interesting historical note about this album on the web:
"According to the legend, this Beatles MONSTER RARITY was created through a unique confluence of production mishap, corporate stubbornness and legal contest of wills between Apple and Mobile Fidelity. The legend has it that, when Apple leased the original master tapes to Mobile Fidelity Audio Labs, MFSL initially created the metal stamper and used it for a short while for a very short-lived first (and only) press run of the album before the stamper was accidentally dropped and broken, rendering it useless for further production. Alas, when MFSL asked Apple to re-lease the tapes so that the stamper could be recreated, Apple declined, leaving MFSL in a limbo and unable to continue production of one of its more promising titles. As a result, copies of “With the Beatles” on MFSL label are tens, possibly hundreds of times rarer than ANY OTHER BEATLES TITLE RELEASED ON THIS LABEL."
