Description
This is the Beatles 'With the Beatles' album an original first pressing of the Beatles second UK album. PMC 1206 Mono from 1963
This record has unique features which are rare and hard to come by.
The matrix numbers on this album are XEX447-7N. The words 'sold in UK' do not appear on the label. There is no tax code stamp. The flapbacks are visible on the rear of the album cover as are the words 'Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd patents pending'.
The original 'emitex' sleeve is included.
The mother and stampers are unusual also on this record. There are no stamps where you would usually find the stamper. There simply is nothing present here. At the mother again is unusual. Here appears the letter 'G' which suggests that this record is among the first ever pressed.
The publishing credit for Money goes to 'Dominion Belinda'.
The word Parlophone appears in the rim and not Gramophone.
The mis-print 'Gotta hold on me' is on the rear of the album cover.
The record is in wonderful condition given the age of this record. It is almost 50 years old!!
There is a mark on side two of the record which does not affect the play, other than that there are the usual tiny surface lines that appear on most records of this age. Despite that the record is brilliant black, the label in superb condition. The album cover has the usual wear and tear you would again expect from a 50 year old record.
This item is extremely rare and I have never come across another like it. If you wish to extend your Beatles collection with unique items like this then THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY to do so.
