Description

READ FIRST:  I prefer to ship USPS within the continental US.  Shipping is $4.00 media mail up to 3 records.  Add .50 cents to each additional record up to 5 records, then another box is used.  International shipping is $22.00 for the first record, $23.50 for the second, and $30.00 for the third because of the weight for US first class.  International insurance is NOT available for first class.   Priority mail starts at $34.00 up to 4 pounds and insurance is extra.   Consider these costs carefully!!

Because of Ebays’ new rules, payment by PayPal only!! Will ship when payment is received.  Insurance recommended.  Though record is well packed, (see below), I will not be held responsible for postal loss or damage for uninsured packages.  All records are in a hard paper sleeve, (unless otherwise noted).

Payment must be received within 5 days!

READ THE GRADING:   All of the records I list are graded aurally and visually.  My grading is conservative and honest; digs, scratches, mars, rim chips, pressing and label defects are noted when necessary.  They are played on a Dual 1015 turntable with a Shure hi-track stylus at about 2 grams on the tone arm.  All 78 rpm records play graded on mono as intended.

E+  Only for records that play like new and look like it too.  No background noise at all.

E    For records with no or insignificant mars/scuffs not affecting play.  Sound is clear.

E-   Records that have some mars and light scratches or playing defects that affect play up to

10%.  Sound is strong, clear, good fidelity with very little background noise.

V+  For records that have scratches and/or graying in the grooves that affect play, but still plays

strong; 70% to 90% of music left.

V    For records that have significant scratches and/or graying in the grooves that reduces sound

       quality by 25% to 40%.

V-   Records with damage that reduces music by 50-60%.  Record will still play with some

       sound left.

I don’t list records that skip or are below V- or G unless exceptionally rare.

PACKING:   I pack records with corrugated cardboard between records with a top/bottom piece of cardboard surrounded by big bubble wrap in a 12” or 13” box. My feedback rating is 100% and I want to keep it that way.  If there are any problems, contact me first to resolve them.  I want you to be completely satisfied!

Hello!  I am listing for auction 78rpm records that are from the 1920’s through the 1950’s.  They include jazz, blues, vocalists, and early R&B rhythm and blues.  For the records of the 1920’s and 1930’s, I will list personnel and dates from Brian Rust’s catalog if they are of interest.  I plan to list more records and some rare ones down the road on Gennett, Paramount, Vocalion, Victor, Decca 7000, so please visit my listings from time to time.  Please view my listings!
