Description
Test pressing for Wooden Shjips "Shjips in the Night." #4 of 8 copies. From an edition of 8 handmade test pressings for the 4 band members, Silver Current and Henry Owings who helped out on the jacket layout.
This test pressing edition was made with the front cover pasty, printed in rainbow colors unique only to these 8 test pressings and glued onto the original test pressing jacket. The bent corners of the jacket shown in the product image are authentic to the original shape of the test pressing jacket as it arrived for label review and not a result of abuse to this handmade edition. I decided to keep the original worn test pressing jackets instead of replacing them for mint blanks because the originals housed a sticker from the plant with LP info as well as having the air of authenticity of an industrial test product. These tests were approved to green light the full pressing.
The jackets pasty is hand silk-screened, hand-glued, and numbered.
