Description
Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted! You may have heard it mentioned, that it's the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.. My copy of the triple LP is quite good, but Two is rough vinyl. So, cheap! Both albums are original issue copies on Atlantic red-and-plum labels. Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Woodstock -
Cover - Quite good - not split, torn or written-on - it's a little grubby with age, little coffee (or similar) stain top left of back, some to edges and corners, old bends to two corners on front. Top-loader cover.
Records - not perfect, could be a lot worse - this has been my listening copy for many years. Disk one has various light scratches. On disk two, both sides have a big scuff on each, plus various light scratches. Record three has some scratches, too. Across all of this, some scratches on each record, but not scratched all over, and not nasty heavy scratches. I've play-tested side six, it plays very well, background crackling in a quiet moment. Star Spangled Banner and the rest of the Hendrix part, is just fine. We're still in the era when records are likely to play through surface marks without making bad noises. I also listened to CSNY-as-garage-band on "Sea Of Madness", that also played excellently.
Woodstock Two - this is basically thrown-in with Woodstock One
Cover - is good. Triple gatefold, top loader.
Records - Rough! Scratched all over, some nasty scratches - looks like they've been cleaned with a Brillo pad. I've done a listening test, on the Mountain / Canned Heat side - it only skipped on one occasion, but you can hear clicks over the loud music on the Mountain tracks, gets better as side progresses. Scratches are likely to be louder than the music on acoustic tracks.
I do my best for my customers, on postal costs. You can send at least six LPs for the Post Office's £3.00 "small parcel" deal. Do feel free to pass on this information to any sellers who charge an extra pound (or whatever) per additional record - that's going straight into their pockets.
Feel free to ask me stuff. I won't end auctions early, and won't split the lots. Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard (or whatever's appropriate). Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs would still be the same charge, £3.50.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - you need to know this stuff.
Dispatch will usually be "next day".
Collection in person is welcome.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.
They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.
This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid.
Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - there is no combined postage, I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.
If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.
International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!)
Australia Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands New Zealand Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden, United States, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba Bangladesh Barbados Belize Bermuda Bolivia Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Cayman Islands Dominica Ecuador Egypt French Guiana Gibraltar Grenada Guadeloupe Guernsey Iceland Jersey Jordan Liechtenstein Macau Maldives Martinique Monaco Montserrat Nicaragua Oman Pakistan Paraguay Peru Reunion Saint Kitts & Nevis Saint Lucia Sri Lanka and Turks & Caicos Islands
Applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country, wherever import duty is appropriate. If you don't want to pay the customs charges, do not bid.
I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations.
