Protect Ya Neck" is the debut single by American hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan, originally released in December 1992 through Wu-Tang Records and later re-released May 3, 1993 through Loud Records. The song appears on the group's debut studio album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). It was produced by RZA and features eight of the original nine Wu-Tang members.
If you don’t know who the Method Man is, you’re about to find out! Originally released as the B-side of “Protect Ya Neck,” “Method Man” quickly became its own classic.
Though commonly thought of as the only solo track on Enter the Wu-Tang, GZA also has his own track with “Clan In Da Front.”
Rumor has it that there was a rap battle between all 9 members of Wu-Tang Clan with the prize being the only solo song on the groups debut album. Method Man supposedly won this battle and in turn left us with this song.

All of my listings are from a private collection put together by me over the years, I am not a store just a collector who purchased eacb and everyone of my records or CD's on release and none are reissues (The promos and white labels are also from release given to me by car reps from record labels (If you've worked in music retail back in the day you know how important those dudes were to get onside!)
