Description
WYNDRUSH "LET IT SHINE ", Wealden Studios/Recordings (WS 116) Stereo, 1972.
This is an ultra rare LP from the Christian Folk Trio Wyndrush. It came out in 1972 on Wealden Records. The three band members are: Mick Charles, Jon Jeffries, and Chris Ryan.
Ken Scott gives it a great review in his Archivist book and it is listed in Hans Pokora’s books of rare records “ Record Collector Dreams “.
The songs are: Let It Shine, Rainy Summer's Day, I MissYou, Yesterday Has Gone, They Say He's Wonderful, The Tears Of A Clown, California, Take Me Down, September, Waiting For You, A Church Is Burning, Ballad Of A Londoner, Crow On The Cradle, Since I Left You, It's Me, Let It Shine.
Condition:
The album plays well but there are four loudish clicks at the beginning of track one, side one. They've never really bothered me but I think it is better to mention it. This track is played again as the last track on side two, anyway, so it is not the end of the world.
There are some pops and crackles in the background in some parts of the record which, apparently, is common on private pressings like this. Personally, I don’t think it detracts from the record - it is still a clear and very enjoyable listen.
The cover is in very good condition.
