Up for sale is one(1) XANADU - Movie Soundtrack 1980 LP featuring Olivia Newton-John on Side 1 and The Electric Light Orchestra on Side 2 on MCA Records (MCA-6100). Still in the ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. First pressing with ORIGINAL EMBOSSED COVER and ORIGINAL CUSTOM LABELS.
I recently played this LP and it STILL SOUNDS GREAT.
GOOD LUCK FINDING AN ORIGINAL COPY WITH THE ORIGINAL EMBOSSED COVER IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP AS PEOPLE USUALLY RIPPED THESE OPEN TO SEE INSIDE THE GATEFOLD. NEARLY MPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITH ALL THESE ATTRIBUTES.
The vinyl is in very good condition but has some surface marks that WILL cause surface noise and you WILL hear pops or clicks along the way. Nice clean labels with some minor spindle marks. There is a two pronged / feelable surface marks on the ELO SIde that causes a click throughout the 1st & 2nd tracks. It does not cause any skips, just pops / clicks.
The original embossed gatefold cover is still in the original shrinkwrap and is in Very Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to minor corner dings and slight ring wear, etc... There are no split seams, cut-outs, or writing on it. The original price sticker is in the upper left corner. It may come off with some elbow grease, but I'm leaving it as-is. The shrink is in great shape with breathe holes and a very small tear in the body of the shrink on the front cover.
The custom inner sleeve is in very good+ condition.with just the very beginnings of a split seam at the bottom.
I am the original owner. I purchased this new in Chicago in the early 1980's. It was gently played back in the day. Not played in over 35 years. I recently played this LP and it STILL SOUNDS GREAT.
